About NOAA-CREST

NOAA-CREST aims to educate and train a diverse group of students, early career scientists, and engineers to become competent professionals in NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) sciences.

Participants will be participating in state-of-the-art research in an internationally recognized CREST Center for remote sensing science and technologies, closely integrated with NOAA’s mission to protecting and managing the use of coastal resources, increasing our understanding of climate variability and change, and serving society’s need for weather and water information.

Assigned to the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service’ (NESDIS), Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR), CREST thematic research & education projects are designed to address NOAA’s main missions of Sciences, Services, and Stewardships.
